Over the last few weeks, we've been talking about trying to incorporate more greens into our diet (besides just romaine lettuce). Although I think spinach tastes pretty good, I really despise the taste of kale. Smoothies are the perfect way to mask the taste, but still get all the nutrients the greens have to offer. Most of the above recipes come from or have been adapted from Real Simple.
Smoothies can always be thinned by adding more water or thickened by adding ice cubes. To make things easier on the blender, it's best to start by adding the liquids and then slowly start adding the bigger chunks of fruits or veggies. Collard greens were also suggested to add into the smoothies, but I'm not ready to branch that far out yet. I'll let you know if I ever get there!

I'm in just as soon as I can get some greens. These recipes look really good.! Nice graphic by the way.

DeleteYUMMMMMM! Sounds good. We'll have to try some of these after we get a new carafe for our blender!
